This is actually a 2 part question.
I was in Subway yesterday for the first time in quite a while. This is basically how it always goes when I order:
Me: I want a large turkey sandwich on white bread
Subway girl: Do you want mustard and mayo?
Me: I want everything on it
Subway girl: Do you want cheese?
Me: Yeah, I want everything on it
Subway girl: Do you want lettuce?
Me: Just put whatever comes on the sandwich on it please
Subway girl: Do you want tomatoes?
Me: Just make it like the picture, right on?
Subway girl: Do you want onions?
This continues for each item because apparently either the employees are too dumb to remember the menu or customers are too picky to just order off the menu. It's probably the latter.
Anyways, question 1 is when did they start putting cucumbers on the sandwiches? I knew they put green peppers, jalapenos and olives, but cucumbers? These things have no business being on a fucking sandwich. What's next, mushrooms? alfalfa sprouts? green beans? carrots? The reason the sandwich is so low in calories and fat is because my large sandwich had 4 slices of turkey and a fucking salad with no dressing in between the bread.
Question 2: If subway is so healthy, why are there so many fat people eating at subway? Is it just to promote the illusion that they're concerned about their health? They're not even ordering the healthy stuff. Just because you're eating at subway doesn't magically make that meatball and cheese, bag of chips, cookie and soda less fattening.
Thanks for your help.
