Quick ways I find to make cash:
1. Hit up parents
2. When that doesn't work... offer to work for them for cash.  A lot of parents dig the responsibility.
3. Craigslist "Gigs" section... esp if you have a car it's easy (depending on the size of the city you're in) to find someone that needs help moving or a ride to someplace. Also, everyone needs help with their computer.
4. Focus groups... they pay cash usually, and a lot of it.  I got $200 to sit around and talk about this beer they let me try. (again, depends on the city)
5. Prostitution!

A Kalashnikov is an assault rifle made by Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov.
An SL-1200 is ridiculous turntable perfect for Dj-ing or scratching.

Why don't you just use virtualDJ? I've got it and it does a wonderful job of scratching, mixing, etc. I use it to make samples.
