free long distance?
« on: October 20, 2008, 08:02:33 AM »
Hey I was wondering if someone could help me, I basically need to find a way to make a long distance call from area code 513 (Cincinnati Ohio) to 253 (Tacoma Washington) without paying a dime or the receiver paying anything either. Any help would be appreciated.

Steal your neighbor's wifi, and use Skype. That way, it will get billed to his Internet.

PLA Radio episode #12 demonstrates a few ways to do it.  Or you could both call the PLA voice bridge at the same time, using the 1-800-GOOG-411 method.  Who are you calling?  Why don't you just send him/her an email instead?  Or maybe both use Skype to talk?  Don't one of you have free night/weekend minutes on your cell phone plan?

Its my GF she goes to school in washington, my cell phone has free nights and weekends but its a sucky phone. And my evil mother has long distance calling disabled on the phone. Ive tryed to enable it by calling up the phone company but I have to know a password and I have no clue what that would be. Ive even considered social engineering my own mother to get it but I know she'll reconize my voice

Well use the bridge to talk to each other, as long as you don't mind your phone sex being inturrupted by toning occasionally.
