Question about Canada and Alaska
« on: July 27, 2008, 11:11:02 AM »
How did Canada manage to screw itself out of the big green strip of land in the southeast that obviously LOOKS like it SHOULD belong to them??

Can you answer that? I always wondered. Seems like good valuable land probably full of many ports and what not.

Why?

Naw, Canada will never be invaded... as long as the U.S. has a military budget. ::)

Some bullshit happened in the late 1870s and eventually a panel of judges from Canada and the United States decided upon the actual border.
