Announcing QuahogCon

Hi all,

I just wanted to pass this bit of news. The DC401 group is organizing the first hacker Con in Rhode Island called QuahogCon. For those that don't know Quahogs are really big clams.

Over the past several years the Hacker community has grown in Rhode Island. This is primarily due the the hacker friendly atmosphere found in Downtown Providence.

They are still in the very early stages of planning this, but I'm sure they would welcome any support.

They should hold it in 2009 as most people won't want to travel east for one con then travel again for another one.

I Agree.

I'm just hoping that they can get this off the ground. I have been traveling to the past 2 Hopes and It would be nice to have a con right in my backyard so to speak.
