Drive-thru radio prank
« on: October 28, 2011, 02:40:37 PM »
First off, I'd just like to say that I've been reading through the forums and learned a lot, so thanks for this site guys. But anyway, a friend and I are working on how to do the drive-thru radio prank. After thinking about tearing up my toaster  ;), I decided to go buy a quansheng tg-uv2 off of a chinese site (since I'm cheap). I also messed around with the CTCSS stuff and I think I have found the correct number. For some reason I remember hearing that some sort of mod is needed to pull this off. I'm just wondering what types of mods would be needed and why. I'm still kind of a newb at this kind of stuff, so don't be too harsh on me. So some mod information and any general advice would be appreciated.

Well I hope I can stick around! I've been reading around the past few weeks and learned a lot, so I'll prob try to stick around.

The site you posted doesn't seem to have quansheng mods, but I'm starting to think that since it is a chinese model it does not have to be modded. It already is capable of broadcasting on commercial frequencies, which is what I think the mod was for, right?
