Newbie Question
« on: October 09, 2006, 02:46:32 PM »
 ::)

I understand and respect that people cant just post phone numbers here of Joe Schmo's house or cell because we hate em.  It can obviosly cause legal issues with the board.
What is legal?  Business numbers? Payphones?  I dont wanna screw up and make rhcp have to edit my posts or be a pain in the ass (or do I?) haha

Just don't post numbers with the intent of harrasment. Read the rules if you must. Im sure there is a line you cross between intent of harrasment and something else. Just remember, if you post someones phone number on a public fourm, there are plenty of people that are going to see it and call it.

Also, with things like a business:  if the number is one that anyone could get readily at any time (ie. 1-800-SAFE-AUTO) then don't sweat it.  But ifit's the back line to the business that only the employees have so they can call in sick, don't post it.
May the forces of evil become confused on the way to your house.

It's usually not a big deal if someone messes up.  I just edit the number out of the post.  It only takes a minute.  Pay phones are probably always okay.  Just read the rules and you'll be fine.
