The site is SLOW!

All morning the site has been really slow.  It seems okay now, though.  Not really sure what's going on with it.  Maybe the host is having issues or maybe we're suddenly getting billions of visitors from someplace.  Hopefully it's all okay now.  But if not, rest assured that I'm not doing anything at all to fix it.

I'm guessing it's just the tubes are getting clogged from all those pesky online shoppers. Try cleaning them out with a sharp stick, and making sure your 5 cats are all working.

For 3 days now, the site has still been pretty slow during the days.  I checked the logs and it looks like there's been an extra 2,000 visitors for each of those 3 days.  Normally, the referer logs would tell me where these hits are coming from, but there's nothing in the referer logs that explains an extra 2,000 visitors per day.

In the bandwidth logs I found that Rob T. Firefly's song Guilty Deter is eating up an insane amount of bandwidth.  Like 2 gigs over the past week alone.  So I'm going to move that somewhere else, as well as a bunch of other bandwidth eating mp3s.  Hopefully things will get better soon.

I did a Google search on Guilty Deter to see if I could find out who was hotlinking to the mp3.  It seems that Guilty Deter is quite a hit.  212 results on it.

If any of you have no idea what the hell Guity Deter is, I set up a page for it and for the linear parody.  It's located at http://www.phonelosers.org/parody/.  I hax0red RTF's Guilty Deter mp3 into an audio commercial for this page, which loads the songs from another site, which hopefully cools down the servers a bit.
