Last year I got this cool Olympus DS2 digital recorder and planned to use it for portable recording when I was out doing evil things for PLA Radio. 

The problem is, I really haven't done much with it yet, aside from recording my neighbor when he asks to borrow my phone.  I used it in Episode #12 to demonstrate red boxing.  But that's about it.  I've been meaning to pick up some cell phones from lost & founds and record myself picking them up.  But that would probably be really boring audio.  I've also been meaning to use it to record hotel radio frequencies and then torture the guests.  But that's a lot of effort.  I'll do it someday.

Any ideas on other things I could do with my DS-2?

My neighbor doesn't have a phone.  That's why he comes over to borrow mine.

I think an episode centred around Brad trying to offer obscure methods of payment would be funny. Such as your idea for using Western Union to wire money to the Chinese place, or maybe having someone call you collect and offering to pay for the call using a redbox.

Last summer in San Francisco, I tried to pay a hot dog vendor in Free Cactus coupons.  It didn't go so well though. 

Maybe I could try paying a Wal-mart cashier with a counterfeit $300 bill.

That's a great idea. I heard of a guy who tried to pay a speeding ticket of some sort with pennies and it pissed the cops off royally but they were eventually forced to accept it.

I think you should produce more episodes of PLA TV

just film confused employees and strange old people! It doesn't take much. Why not try replacing the http://www.phonelosers.org/tv/sodacup/ with some other object, like a shopping bag, or something else interesting.

The only thing better than getting to HEAR you talk, is to SEE you talk!
