Anyone ever try the 90# phone trick

90# Scam

According to the story, if you were to call any business who use the BPX phone setup and ask them to press 90#, you are able to make long distant calls on their dime.

Anyone ever try this or heard of people who did it? Is this trick still possible?

I read that awhile ago but since the updates were kind of old on it I didn't bother posting it. Seems like it could be pretty useful if it still works though.

I remember that being in the papers a lot in the late 90's.  I guess prisoners were somehow using it to take control of home phones.  Or maybe I'm confusing this with some other feature code that was being exploited.
