Second life
« on: March 03, 2007, 07:52:01 AM »
There have been two newspaper articles on it in the past month. They all had people who were two old for this game. This game sucks ass.

And now I hear there is a Second Life Liberation Army. The explode bombs and shit. Who cares that a virtual world has been overrun with companies and people trying to make money? Look outside and you'll see the same thing. This happens to a lot of MMORPGs, just it's more prevalent in Second Life because you can do more than  in say World of Warcraft Don't people have something more valuable to spend there time on? If I wanted all the problems it has I would just walk outside.

P.S. My shitty local paper doesn't have thearticles online so I'll probably type up one of the articles later.
P.S.S. Is this better frog?

How stupid is that? Don't people have something more valuable to spend there time on. If I wanted ll the problems it has I would just walk outside.

This is horribly written. You could have at least linked to the articles or used swear words.

I like their motto: "The only response to injustice is to fight!"  Yeah go fight in a real fucking war and then you can say that. Nevermind that passive resistance helped free INDIA and PAKISTAN from Imperilism.

Anyone here use Second Life?  I've been resisting for the past year now, because I know I'll spend way too much time in it if I get started.

I've played it before. The thing is it is berift of any goal or structure and every game has to have some goal. Even WoW has some goals (get to lvl. 70, complete quests, etc.). It would be more fun if it had goals. And if you could kill people because everyone knows VIOLENCE ROXS!!!!111!

Just join the Patriotic Nigras and help rebuild Fort Longcat. That is an objective worthy of completion.

Arbie, you would never get caught up in playing it. The game is about buying virtual penises and yiffing all the different colored humanoids.

I tried to play the game but at the beginning I couldn't click the "please click to continue button"......

I guess it's destiny.

the primary objective of second life is to get enough money to buy a harry potter costume and have explicit sex with a character in a giant rabbit suit. I think its for people who have failed so badly at thier first life that they need a second chance to mess up all over again (except with longer genitals and more rabbits)

I played it for a short while (a day?) and got bored because it was all furries and goths, I was hoping on making some cash out of it with no initial investment (you can convert Linden dollars to real money), but my attention span wouldn't have any of it. I read (before even seeing this thread, incidentally) on ED about the Patriotic Nigras and Fort Longcat, and that made me want to try it again and go on the raids, but eh.
