You're right. I don't know what I would do without 3D window effects.

And though that was the most insignificant of the things I listed, you decided to pull that one out. Way to go. Really.

I'm not going to get into a *nix argument, but I have two final thoughts:

1) At least I didn't get pwned by some washed up musician posting drunken screenshots of his Linux desktop.

2)

I <3 Matt Goat Sex.

BTW, I use window transparency in WinXP occasionally. It requires an outside program (Hack-It v4.01) but it's the same program I use for task management.

I HATE the bridge.

Did you spend any amount of time at all lurking around here before you joined, zewb?

I didn't dial the wrong number, you picked up the wrong phone.

My own mediocre attempt at humor has been highly amusing to myself. i love how people go completely off topic just to point out the shortcomings of others in the futile struggle to enlarge their e-penises

seriously guys, your little ways of trying to "own" me are cute and all, but the topic is elevator phone numbers. I found this on google; apparently is an elevator somewhere in Nebraska: 402-334-0242

Can't call long distance right now, though, so I haven't been able to test it.

I love how quickly you change from insolent little bastard to "I'm better than all of you"

btw - if that's an elevator line, it must be for a phone actually in the car, because nothing picks up when you call. Reverse phone directory listings have it as an unpublished line. I think Google h4xored you.

That's not a flame. You posted a number you didn't test so I tested it for you. Unfortunately, I don't think your information was correct, or completely correct.

You're welcome.

Ok, that 1800 634 6752 number, where you hit extensions #9037 - #9041 to acess the elevator emergency fone... i found this page http://www.wurtec.com/autodialer%20manual.htm, which details how to program the fones as well as what buttons do what, and how to speak through all the elevators at once. Hitting 2 will play the message on that extension ... some of them get weird. i also found #9030 to be an elevator.

That number just plays some advertisement for a talk line then disconnects.

1-800-634-6753 , my bad. hit # when you get to the  recording, then the extension.

I called up, went to extension 9037, and when it picked up i hit #94851. i then entered #*3180111*# . Those codes are detailed in the link i posted above. I then entered #7 and proceeded to speak after the beep, pressing 0 when i was done. You can change the recording on every elevator if you were so inclined. I have yet to get the *9 (announcement on all elevators) to work yet. But this is pretty fun.

Odd, as soon as I key in #94851 I get disconnected.

I got 9038 and 9039 to work (9037 did not work). Did not try 9040 and 9041. I just said hello to the people because the codes did not work (or I did not enter them at the correct times)

Seems to work ok. You have to call back after about a minute though.

that's the same thing that happened to me when i tried 9038 tonight...it didn't connect me to an elevator.  i typed in the extension, and i never even got a recording after that...it connected me to a human being, in charge of Riviera room reservations.
