slim jim
« on: June 20, 2007, 06:59:34 PM »
heres a little tip / tut for those lock pickers out there.  but this is for education purposes only not to be applied in a realistic situation.  go to your local hardware store,  purchase an extremely thin piece of metal.  then take something to cut a piece off, ie.  hacksaw.  then simply cut a sheet of metal of all the way down about 1.5 inches wide.  then make ridges at the bottom like so in this pic:

slim jims are used to unlock car doors for those who dont know.  later.

What is annoying is that we can't just delete our own posts all together (at least as far as I know).

i hate to sound out of place, but why not just buy them? I mean, they sell them. Why make your own hammer when you can buy one that is professionally made.

You jam a slim jim down a window seal on a newer car and youre likely to rip out half the wiring while trying to unlock it.
Many newer cars have electronic locks anyway.  There are other wire tools that can open all that.

http://www.brandsonsale.com/lockout-tool-kit.html   $10 !!!

All you really need are a few coat hangers and the right know-how to bend them to the shapes needed....
or better than coat hangers would be some spring steel music wire (basically, thick piano strings)

i dont use slim jims much i've made a few though.  and i just bash the window a few times with my night stick My own mediocre attempt at humor has been highly amusing to myself..  it takes a while because of the updated plexi glass.
