I've been thinking for awhile about how we can jumpstart the scene again or maybe even just give phonelosers something to do again. I know whenever I needed to focus in my life I would look at a "loser List" and harass the various people on it. So maybe we could make a new, up to date loser list, for example murd0c gets shit from some asshole at the liquor store - so he posts the guys name and whatever other info he has and the troves of bored phonelosers will be on him like pitbulld ranging from prank calls to S/E important info on him. (To the PLA vets I am not explaining to you what a loser list is, the explanation was for those new to the scene) So shoot back what you think.

Ya, that whole "giving PLA something to do" is a great idea. Like o say I dont know have some sort of prank call competition where people send in their prank calls, we all vote on their hilarity and then the winner gets something like maybe a free phonelosers.org subdomain, or an @phonelosers.org email (just an idea, dont phreak out if it costs money...). I think subdomains are free to create once you have the domain for the most part anyways. RBCP what do u think?

Here I come to shoot down ideas!

I won't do a new loser list.  While the loser list thing is funny, it's always brought me grief in some form.  People from the loser list always end up finding themselves and then I have to deal with their unhappiness.  Many times the police are involved.  I just don't want to deal with all that.

I also don't want to offer email addresses or subdomains.  Mostly because I just don't have a way to easily create these things for people.  I would have to personally grant every single request for subdomains and email addresses.

Sorry to be so negative about everything.  I'm all for starting up a contest or something like that.  Unfortunately I don't have anything cool to give away as a prize right now.

But seriously, the loser list would be great if it were on some tiny old-school hidden BBS, since I just found a guy named Joe Esposito (remember Karate Kid?) in the phone book. I was gonna call him and just say "YOU'RE THE BEST...AROUND! NOTHING'S GONNA EVER BRING YOU DOWN!" continuously. Yeah it's stupid.

Ok Countykid, you have some telco paraphenilia to put up as a prize thats good, now we all need to get together and laydown some plans for this "contest" lets' brainstorm. I can understand the not wanting to do a loser list - It is too much of a hassel if one of the "vics" come accross it. so this contest should keep our idle hands occupied for awhile.
