Lowes Phone Network
« on: January 16, 2008, 01:15:34 PM »
*Question for RBCP*

is this ok?

*actual post*

so you call up your local lowes, right?

and you wanna take over their intercom, much like (correct me if im wrong here) RBCP and his GF did with Fred Meyers (http://www.phonelosers.org/issue/025/)

HOW WOULD YOU DO THAT!?!?!

well.

by magic.

and some social engineering.

do as follows:

1. Call up lowes.

2. Mumble something about noise on the line and tech support.  this works best if you first get transfered to a low brain power required job such as plumbing.

3. Tell said LBPRJ Worker that you need to be transfered to Ext. 777  If they give you some crap about the Ext. not existing, just make up something about how its an unlisted only for tech support blah blah blah

4. you can listen to the codes, but im gonna do you the courtesy of typing them out.

Code 3:

031 Commercial Sales.

032 Front Register.

033 Returns Desk.

034 Garden Center

Code 50:

501 Commercial Sales.

502 Front Register.   (seeing a pattern yet?)

503 Returns Desk

504 Graden Center

505 Straw Trailer... I CLEARLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, EVER. either...

and finally:

606.

this is a Merchandise Pickup at Customer Service.

so hopefully you see what fun can now be had at lowes.

btw, i found out that a code 3 means more cashiers/attendants.

Hopefully i can update for you.

Happy Phonage.

Me and a "steve" were on the lowes network, using the indyme network, and he hit pound. (#)

it asks for a password.

I CLEARLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, EVER. what the default password is, and i dont know what it would let you do, but if its password protected, its gotta be cool...

im gonna crack it soon.

promise.

even simpler.

1234#

the only things you can really do is change time, store hours, and intercom volume.

=/

but still.

pretty nifty.

EDIT!:

if you change the store hours and hit 9, it closes the store phone system off like it would if you were closed.

DoS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you would have to call up Lowes and ask to be transfered to one of these extensions? Or could you call and enter the code with your cell/home phone?

you have to get transfered.  its not hard. just tell them your tech support.  they're HARDWARE STORE EMPLOYEES, not smart people.

That's the intercom code for Barnes and Noble, actually.... I mean, unless they use a similar PBX. Is it a toshiba strata PBX, or something like that? I don't know if you can get transferred to that either.
