PLA Flyers Passed out in San Francisco
« on: July 09, 2006, 10:41:50 AM »
While in San Francisco this week, CountyKid presented me with a stack of flyers which read, "FREE CACTUS!  Use this coupon at any participating Phone Loser retail outlet or visit www.phonelosers.org to claim your cactus."  The flyers looked strikingly similar to the flyers that Cal distributed in the 2003 Halloween parade in Alton, Illinois.  (You can watch a video of that event here.)

After walking around San Francisco for a few hours, we decided to put the stack of flyers to good use by handing them out to all of the tourists at the pier.  In probably just 30 minutes, Countykid and I managed to hand out all of the coupons.  I even attempted to barter a Free Cactus coupon with a drink vendor in exchange for a Coke, but he refused.  Some people just don't recognize a good deal when they see it.

.

.

Jammie snapped dozens of pictures as CountyKid and I confused countless tourists with the bogus offer of a free cactus.  We can only hope that at least some of the tourists asked their hotel concierge where they could find a Phone Losers outlet store in San Francisco.  You can find more pictures here of our San Francisco trip which included a gender illusionist bar, explosives being thrown onto cars and people, fireworks and the return of LogicBox.

Did you give one to Frank Chu?  He is one of my fave things about San Francisco!  Everyone can use a cactus!

Speaking of the store, are there going to be any more shirts beside the RBCP's single used shire?

I'd like to do a new shirt.  If you have any ideas for one, post it on here.
