Ghost Hunting anyone?
« on: March 27, 2008, 09:55:46 AM »
So Im going to Volcano,CA to this ghost hunting convention thingyhttp://www.ghostrush.com/ and was trying to think up some pranks to do. In the hotel im staying at, I'll be messing with other residents, but what could i do at the convention? I was thinking of using radio equipment to mess with the recording and video equipment but thats all i can come up with....

ideas anyone?

Run around in a white sheet so they'll think they caught a real ghost on camera!

Call up their rooms and make them believe that they're receiving calls from the dead.

Build your own ghost hunting devices that you can secretly control so you can scream, "OMG, I'M GETTING A STRONG READING HERE!"

Sneak a bunch of plutonium in and smear it all over everything so that their Geiger counters go nuts and render their ghostly readings useless.  Because using a Geiger counter to hunt for ghosts is usually so accurate.

Bake ghost cookies and pie.

i actually like the dead people calls ;D

Plutonium is a little hard come by...and dangerous. Look what happened to Doc Brown.

I also thought of dressing up as one of the ghostbusters

i'm not sure i'd call dressing like a ghostbuster a prank, but i would call that hilarious--and i demand pictures, if you do it. :D

if you have some time to look around before that Big Investigation event, see if there's an extremely good place to hide in one of the businesses...so you can cause some ghostly noises and weirdness when the "investigation groups" come through.  if possible, find a place where you can start throwing things and not get caught, because poltergeists are awesome.

As opposed to the way they normally are.

As an actuall response to your thread, i think rogues idea about poltergeists etc. would be good.  Try to get as into it as possible.  You could scratch your arm/stomach/back with a pen/pencil/other sharpish object and write ghostly messages that slowly appear over a few minutes.

I think you should use one of those remote-controlled whoopie cushion toys. So when you see a group of them swooshing their sophisticated ghost sensing equipment around going "gee, I'm getting some readings here" you can make fart noises come from the ceiling or walls. It'd be funny to see them debate whether it was real or not.
