If I managed to get there, I wouldn't have money for a ticket. If I came I'd bring my payphone TTY, assuming the airport people don't decide it's a bomb and send me to Gitmo instead.

just so no one forgets:  the second round of ticket sales is today, at noon eastern time!!!!!

so, if you're planning on taking in any of the con-like entertainment, you've got another chance to grab a ticket today at shmoocon.org.  this is the second ticket sale--but the third one is really small, so you've probably got a better shot today.

of course, if you don't plan on grabbing a ticket, you can just go ahead and book your trip, and meet us under the parking lot canopy for awesome times.

ARG!

Major Problem. Well, potentially.

I just remembered that the New York City Comic Con is the SAME FUCKING WEEK as Shmoocon.

WTF do I do?

On one hand, Shmoo has you guys, the potential to wander the con with someone else badge, potential Renderman sightings, a hot girl and more.

On the other hand, NYC Comic Con will have the Penny Arcade guys and the main reason for this escapade: SEGA is showing off Madworld, The Conduit and House of the Dead Overkill. THOSE GAMES I WANNA TRY OUT! :( Plus I can stay here instead of paying to travel to DC and sleep in unknown places like a hobo.

ARRRRRGGGGG!!!!!

The only potential saving grace is that so far that is all I am interested in and I think that NYCC has one extra day before Shmoo on the 6th. If there is nothing else lined up, I may spend that day at the con and then go to Shmoo later in the day.

If I end up going to Shmoo and it sucks, I blame you all.
