PLA Forums on twitter

I'm working on a PLA forums to Twitter type of thing. It doesn't seem like anyone would actually care that much but within an hour of creating the Twitter username PLAforums i had two followers. So now im trying to find a decent system that will keep it updated enough. Any suggestions?

i tried something like this with a different forum i run. the forums pretty active, though, and the constant fucking twitters, or a shit ton every half hour (or whatever i set it up for) were annoying as fuck. I abandoned the idea quickly.

What suggestions could there be?  You'd just be twittering every post that happens, right?  Let us know when it's all done and I'll link to it.

Well I'm trying to get a good RSS to Twitter thing. The one I'm currently using doesn't parse the RSS very well, as you can see. It's just a PHP script i found on Google running as a cron job on my site every two minutes.

Maybe you could add some of the text from the post into the tweet.  But not anything that's in the quote boxes.

Yeah that might be a good idea... I'll look into that tomorrow. I have a nice "nothing" class for an hour and a half tomorrow so i'll look into it then.

I did a little bit of work on it so that if the title, URL and text are less then 140 characters it will post the text.
