I used to be a CSR at Cingular a few years ago, and sadly I didn't learn what I wanted about the GSM world. I basically learned what to sat and do (for a little while) to get CSRs at other phone companies to give me free stuff.
But this I learned when I was flat out board. I found that several people I called often wouldn't pick up their cell phones, and I hated sitting through their long ass messages, only to have the VOX re-iterate that I was to stay on the line and leave a message. I found that you could skip the message all together by hitting # on AT&T and T-Mobile phones once the VM started, and * on Verizon to do the same. But one day I pressed * while on an AT&T VM server. It brought me to the admin settings for the VM for that particular number. It turns out that if you press the * while the voicemail message plays, on AT&T and T-Mobile and that user hasn't entered a passcode for their VM (and really, 9 out of 10 don't) you can go in, record your own outgoing, delete their messages, screw with their call-forwarding and then put in your own passcode to block them from reverting their changes. Of course, doing this IS illegal and I'm not condoning that you try this without your friends permission.
Yup, make sure you have permission when attempting to hack someone. Be a good Christian.
Reverend Faux, is it? Well then, allow me to introduce myself.
The names Magus...Magus Sebastian.
Do you see my "Job Title", Mr. Faux? Look underneath that snazzy avatar of mine, it's down there somewhere. Find it yet? Good. As you're now probably aware of, I'm the High Priest 'round these parts. Correction: I'm the ONLY High Priest around these parts.
But now you come along and claim to be a
reverend, do you? Hmmm...
First of all, I highly doubt you have the qualifications necessary to call yourself as such, but I won't go there. Instead, I shall simply inform you to piss off. By this I mean that whenever we (the PLA) argue about any topic divine-ish, you cannot add to the discussion. Besides, everything I say is always holy and true--and you are probably always wrong--so you'd be less likely to embarrass yourself that way. See, I'm doing you a
favor.
So now you should delete your account, go have sex with your boyfriend, and come back when you're ready to stop being a pseudo-reverend HOAR. Or better yet, don't come back.
P.S. I'm better than you.
