You're talking about a LOT of power to throw a person. A squirrel only weighs a few pounds. We may be able to scale it up to babies but after that we're going to have to consider some other mechanism.

Off-topic: My mom once freaked out on a camping trip because of a "striped mouse". Investigation revealed that it was a chipmunk.

fun fact: the terminal velocity of a kitty cat is 60 mph....this means that you can drop 'mr meowington' from a flying cessna and he will orient himself correctly, fall to the ground, and start cleaning himself....
