Freelance Marketing at Taco Bell
« on: August 05, 2006, 08:20:29 PM »
Recently, while my friends Mr. & Mrs. Spessa were visiting, I casually mentioned to them that our local Taco Bell had a lot of groundhogs that wandered around on their property. Most of the groundhogs you'll see behind a chain-link fence as you're waiting in the drive-thru. After awhile, one thing led to another and we decided that it'd be the most hilarious idea in the world to make a sign and hang it on the fence. The sign would suggest that the meat from their tacos came from the nearby groundhogs.

A day or two later, we purchased a few sheets of posterboard and some plastic tie thingies from Walgreens and got to work. Spessa did most of the lettering which Mr. Spessa and I filled in with black Sharpies. This took forever since most of my black Sharpies needed to be replaced. I filled in the extra space on the bottom with the Taco Bell logo to help make it look more official. Below are pictures of our construction of the sign and then the finished product, tacked up on the wall.

The signage is a bit sloppy and unprofessional looking, I don't know if you were gonna do a prank with this or not, but your McDonalds signs were far better engineered.  I think you should make the signs for Taco Hell as good as the McD's ones, and adapt the McDonalds shenanigans to Taco Hell.

Please excuse my ignorance. Who is the girl that makes the first call to taco bell? I have heard her many times before and always really liked her because she does pretty creative things on the phone. Any chance of another business phone line takeover in the near future? Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
