Hah last night's phone show was ownage.

I was the dude calling in from the 747 number as well as the guy calling from 313-373-1337. 747 is indeed a real area code in the san fernando valley, however the 747 I was calling from was not there. You see iCall was down last night, so I couldn't call using my normall iCall outWATS gateway in the 646 area code. Thus I hopped on my laptop and tried to use gizmo5 to call your skype address, however it looks like your not accepting anonymous calls on skype!

With both those options gone, I used gizmo5 to dial 800-980-PHAD and then call 505-796-4020, and the caller ID it passed was my SIP address for one of my gizmo5 accounts - cesium98. The bad news is my mic sounded like crap trying to whisper into it, and thus it sounded like crap.

With those three options exhausted, I hopped on spoofcard and called 505-796-4020 from 3133731337, which worked! And my landline phone had pretty good audio quality with whispering. Then of course my minutes ran out and I got disconnected right before RBCP called 800-980-PHAD. I also tried to call in later on spoof card from 8000031337 to explain the 747-SIP thing, but then the show ended...

Heres the scoop on 800980PHAD: It's a minute of ads, then you get 10 minutes of free long distance. Quality is meh, but its totally free and you can call back your party again at least a couple times. Pretty cool when your at a payphone. And if you op-divert to it, the ads usually dont play.

I do accept anonymous calls, just sometimes we're on the phone with someone else and can't pick up the phone for everyone.

Actually I'm just trolling a wee bit, you do a pretty damn good job with the phone show in general. 

Although I'm seriously considering doing my own interwebs radio show too.

Brad used to troll alt.2600 saying he was going to make 2600 available on teh web for free. Then everyone would pile on him seemingly unaware of the irony. It was teh funny. Maybe you had to be there.

Tonight, the Phone Show may be interesting.  Or it may suck.  I'm out of town still and don't even have a microphone.  But I DO have an inline phone recorder, meaning to talk on the show, I'll have to pick up a phone and talk.  It truly will be a phone show tonight.  I won't be able to take any calls on the air, but we're thinking about doing nonstop prank calls for 2 hours.  And not just any calls, but calls to 900 numbers and maybe some overseas.  Because I'm totally rich and can afford things like that.

Does anyone have any suggestions on 900 numbers to call?  I've Googled a bit, and there's not a ton of stuff out there these days.  Give me some suggestions for Overseas too. 

Of course, there's always a chance that this might not work out at all with the setup I'm attempting and the Phone Show might end up being nothing but boring music all night.  I'll Twitter about it within an hour of the show.

Well arby, I did a little googling for you and came up with all of three numbers for you to try, I'm not even sure if any of these work nowadays.

talking clock: 011-44-845-124-9068

First two should be a good laugh (especially the first one given all those jokes with spessa), and the other is a talking clock number from a textfile published in phreaks and geeks in spring 2005.

Even though your not taking call ins, I'd love to pre-record a little bit for you to play on the phone show, I have a zenofon invite for all listeners to get 100 min of free caller ID spoofing (or regualar long distance). I'm also going to run 15-16 miles today.
