Why Isn't PLA More Active

I think this is a really good question, why isn't the PLA more active? There's loads of cool shit on this site, and I'm sure loads of people are interested in this information, but if that's true, then why are the forums inactive? We need to have some kind of advertising spree, like make this summer "PLA Summer '09" and have an advertising spree. We could advertise by doing things such as prank calls, sign hacks, intercoms, labels, etc. Once the PLA grows larger, we'll have more publicity naturally, which in turn will bring more members.

So what do you guys think?

Yeah from the time I fisrt saw this site and in turn looked at the timestamps I knew that this was not a very active community.

I think it's slow here cause me and the mods delete every other post and censor all the good ideas away.  

Summers are usually when things die down a bit.  People are too busy having fun to bother with our dumb forums.  Guess it's a little too early in the year to blame summer for the deadness yet though.

Maybe this would be a good thread to plot out ways to bring new random people to the forums.  It's too late at night for me to do any plotting right now but I'll throw some ideas in here tomorrow.

If we go live at places like Stickam, Beluxye, BlogTV, etc, and have live prank call shows regularly, I bet that would boost activity.

Summer is when I quit being a jerk and get back to posting on the forums like I should.  It's either this or that going-outside-in-the-hot-sun crap; my choice is obvious.

It's active but only in the places where you have to have a PLA GOLD account to access it.

I have noticed this too. You see I'm an undercover FBI agent trying to gather info on how to entrap Hackers and Phreakers and I'm getting a lot less info lately.

The only thing we're really good at is getting forum newcomers to leave quickly. Besides the $49 jammer thread, has anything we've ever done brought new people here?

We should do phone mobs and stuff, sure, but I think that as far as prank calling goes, Phone Losers should start doing what PrankNet does. You know, get people to drive their car through hotel windows; trick them into activating the sprinkler system; smash their computers; etc.

I will admit that the prank calls (on the Phone Losers website) are hilarious, but saying that they fall short when compared to what PrankNet does -- on a daily basis -- would be an understatement.

Also, bring PLA TV back.

Yeah, I know I'm not one to talk considering I haven't updated youtube.com/prehack in freaking forever but I generally like the stuff on PLA TV and need more!
