I just got an offer from another station.  Their station looks awesome.  I'm so conflicted on what to do.  If I do klulz, then it's unlikely I'll bother with our own stream.  I'm going to research it some more and talk with linear about it, but I might just take the lazy way out an do this.  Argh, decisions.

We're gonna stick with the PLA's own stream.  We got offers from two other stations, though, so that was kind of cool.

The various CBNs sure have some crazy meanings and logos.

I really like the name Roycast.  Is that suitable for online radio though?  It sounds more like podcasting than streaming radio.  Roycast Radio maybe?  The Roycasting Network?

Hrm, weird.  It wasn't working for me either, so I changed the IRC server and it loaded after a couple of tries.  Seems to be working now.  What's a good efnet server to use?  I just put irc.efnet.org in there.

So I was thinking the Cacti Broadcasting Network sounded good enough, but then how the hell to I turn that into a URL?  So maybe cactiradio.com?  Yeah, I know, radio, but it IS online radio.  Then Jenn gets me convinced that Telepwn Radio would be better.  Or maybe Telepwn Broadcasting Network, with a URL of simply telepwn.com.

I need thoughts on all this!  I know cactiradio.com isn't that creative, but something that's sort of neutral and doesn't mention PLA directly would be great so that the station could accommodate more than just PLA-specific stuff all the time.  I think both of those names work for that purpose.  I just want to figure out a name so I can start building a website around it.

But if you do go with CBN, you should use "Cactus" and not "Cacti".
Cacti just doesn't sound right.
