There messing with you, I'm guessing you found out how to do this on youtube right?

It's an April fools joke.

Sorry if I'm stepping on anyone's toes for telling him.....

I sort of guessed that when I saw the date, but I was hoping it wasn't true. Ah well.

But the funny part is you actually wasted your time trying to enter codes in payphones! Noob! ;D

At least you didn't blow a bunch of money on CB radios and toasters.

Ahh I only wasted about 3 minutes at most and the feeling that maybe I'll get a few quarters got me excited for the time being. It was worth it XD

Anyone who did is just plain stupid. I MEAN C'MON, A CRYSTAL IN A TOASTER!? SINCE WHEN ARE TOASTERS NOT JUST A HEATING ELEMENT, A SWITCH, AND A RESISTOR-CAPACITOR TIMING CIRCUIT!?

Guess not too many people have actually taken apart a toaster and read The Art of Electronics.

Have you not seen some of the toasters nowadays? Mine has button select for toast, bagels, and waffles, each with an LED light. I bet that thing has some form of microprocessor or something inside it.

I've had the same toaster since 1996 when my dad killed the old one by setting it on fire by accident. One heating element shorted to the case last fall and actually blew up, so I just pulled it out and kept using it.

Fuck new fancy toastors!  >:(

Every so often we get a person in #Uplink that'll ask us how to get the crystals out of the toaster they just bought.

Hi, new to the forums.
I saw the PLA video about using the 30 something digit code to empty the coin box on pay phones. Let's say hypothetically, I followed it yesterday around my area, on my neighborhood's theoretically Verizon owned payphones, and it didn't work.
Doing something wrong? Is there something else I can do? Hypothetically, of course?

Please go easy on me. I'm new to the whole PLA forum thing.
