We gave you all the information you needed. Go make some sense out it.

Right I have the information but I cant seem to find the recorder any where.

And no one has really said which was better as an inline cell recorder, Audacity or Free Sound Recorder?

Go to RadioShack and tell them you want to record cell phone calls. Go bother them, not us. Seriously, all the information laid out right there for you.

How am I bothering you by coming to a forum to ask questions & find help?

You are aware that is one of the sole functions of a so called forum correct?

And its not like this forum is slammed with a bunch of people to where nobody can help out.  People should be happy there are new active members to talk the trade with.

And instead of typing wasted letters, why wouldnt you just be helpful?

You keep saying "the information is laid out right there for you"

But nobody has told me which of the two programs is best to use for recording cell phone calls.

And I've already called radioshack & they dont have anything to record cell calls any more because they dont sell the device that is listed in that FAQ.

Being that I worked in a RadioShack within the past year, I can assure you that they do in fact carry cellular inline recorders and regular landline inline recorders, along with induction coil mics. I've touched them with my hands physically, putting them onto the shelf. Don't tell me they don't fucking have them, because they do.

HOLY SHIT PROOF: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062697
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2141764

and here's a picture of me with an inline recorder attached to my head while tripping on LSD from 2006:

You put that suction cup part on the phone receiver, not your head.

Once you hook up your inline recorder ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS and have it all hooked into your computer's microphone jack, you'll be able to capture both sides of the conversation with either Cool Edit Pro 2 or Audacity. Either one works fine, I assure you. Once you've captured the audio, all you have to do is save it to an .mp3 or whatever format you chose. Personally, I use Cool Edit Pro, and I have for years.

And as for talking trade with, I could have swore we did that on the entire first page. Sounds like you're not looking hard enough in the correct places. Alright fine, after all that, you happy? Maybe you should put this one in your 'shattered dreams' box, eh?

That Olympus looks prett sweet, better than the "Recorder Control" that was the other one he linked to?

Ahh so Audacity it is then... I can delete Free Sound Recorder then

I would assume that Olympus works with Audacity as well correct?

Nope, they're totally incompatible with each other. You're going to need to get the Android application.

Nope, you need a phone and plan. The guys at RadioShack will be more than happy to set you up with an Android phone and full data plan.

Uhm... You need to record cell phone calls? Why don't you just pop open the phone and stick the audio cable through the hole  in the circuit board. You'll see it when you'll get your phone open. All cell phones have this feature per FCC rules, regulations, and guidelines.

rbcp- you should add the Olympus earbud microphone to the cellphone recording section of your recording calls page... it works great, and is compatible with any cellphone since its just a mic..

If you care about keeping the info updated anyway

I know most pranksters are using Skype and whatnot these days, but that Olympus device is the most useful one I found in my researches for a simple option
