I've actually been trying out IE 8 beta.  It has alot of improvments.  Firefox still kicks it's ass, though.

Yeah back in the day, I used IE for Mac. Then Safari, then about three months ago I switched to Firefox.

Does Safari handle webpages more like IE or Firefox?

IIRC, Safari is based off Konqueror, so its not really like either.

thats funny how rbcp's stats say that most people here use IE, but on the poll like only two people admitted to using it.

it seems logical that the "regulars" around here would be more computer-savvy and into using Firefox. It also seems logical that a majority of visitors to the site are not "regulars."  There's the discrepency --- I don't think it necessarily means anyone's lying.

Also, the numbers could be skewed for other reasons. For example, at home I typically use Firefox on BeOS Zeta or Win2k box. So in the poll I'd mark Firefox. Yet most the time I'm on these forums I am at work, where I am forced to use IE (and on WinXP). So, you know... another discrepancy. Yet no one has lied.

A freind of mine got me to switch from IE6 to Firefox by telling me some really cool tweaks. However, after about 2 weeks it began resetting to it's defaults and was slower than IE. So I tried Opera and still use it. It's as fast as Firefoz was when tweaked.

FUCK IE7! I use WMP for my music, and in order to backup licenses for my music IE has to be the default browser. I just reformatted and hadn't reloaded my tunes when my update program auto-installed IE7. Now my licenses won't back up and I can only listen to about 20 percent of my music! Even the drumtracks I recorded myself won't play cuz IE pops up wanting a license. I'm still fuckin with it, but IE6 never did this to me.
