McWakeup Call...
« on: September 04, 2006, 08:36:07 PM »
I thought it would be fun to caller ID spoof a call to 1-888-Mc Wakeup....And send someone you don't like wake-up calls every day.

Anyone try this yet?

I would but it would be unlikley that they would notice that the 62925387 spelt wakeup.  Just spoof the caller id to somebody you hate and call as many people as you can saying "Fuck you mother fucker" at 2 in the morning.  Caller id and *69 actually benifits the phreak here.  Does anybody besides me have access to a PBX?

Cool, can you spoof your caller id on it?  My friend's buissness you dial the number, push *6 and dial your extention, then dial your passcode and you can check your messages and place calls, he has it set up to where you can dial any number to appear on the caller id, it's pretty cool.

I think he's talking about the McDonald's promotion... you call 1-888-GO McWakeup and the service sends you a wakeup call at your specified time complete with a McDonald's ad.  Since it's a toll-free number, though, I'm not sure if CID spoofing would work, as they likely have ANI service.

Can someone explain ANI to me I understand CID and an orange box but what is ANI, is like a recording of the tones used to represent the text on the screen?

Here's the official Strom Carlson explaination with the differences between the two, as well as a few other acronyms you see bandied about.

I get it now, ANI is like CID but more legitimate and uses a different system.

http://www.mrwakeup.com/ is the website.  I'm too lazy to see if they still have free demos on there.

We need to start a thread called Automated Calling Services and keep it updated with these things.  I'd do it but all I can think of is Mr. Wakeup.

You need an account for MrWakeup :-[. Then they will log your ip and have your email address. There is a wakeup call there called 'Buddy Wakeup':
Quote
Encourage each other to get up and start the day. Save time. You won't have to dial your Buddy's phone number after you wake up. Mr.Wakeup automatically connects you with a friend.
This would obviously be used to connect your 'friend' to the local FBI field office or something.

I can't find a McDonalds McWakup... does this exist? I found nothing about it through google. The Target wakeup calls were done through an 800 number and I always got it to work using Camophone. Spoofcard should work too.
