How about we DON'T encourage people to make a bunch of garbage posts just so they can feel cool for having more posts than everyone else?  I'd rather these forums be completely dead than to have everyone making pointless, one-line posts just to make their count go up.

The more post you have on here the more people will think it is the shit and join.  Don't go crazy with post (like I do), but don't feel scared to post anything.  Worst comes to worst somebody will delete it, and if you keep it up (like I do), you will be exiled!  (Like I was, and like I will problaly be again).

FYI: Raptor I can't help but notice your want of a high post count.  You said in the fruitwall "I demand any title other than Junior Phone Loser".  Then you gave yourself the costum title "PLA Junkie" even though your not.  Why?  Does your post count make you more intelligent?  I have 400 something post and I am an idot.  Does it make your e-penis bigger?  I have 400 something post and it is small.  Post count is what is sounds like.  How many post you have made.  Nothing more.

I'm sorry to be a jerk about it.  But geez.  Replying to month old threads with things like *laugh* is just annoying.  It makes everyone have to read through dozens of threads that haven't actually had anything useful or entertaining added to them.

How should I fix this problem?

• I could make the custom post-based titles end at 100 posts.  Once you pass 100, there's nothing more.
• I could eliminate post-based titles.  After all, you can put anything you want in your custom titles.
• Karma-based titles would be great.  But SMF doesn't have that option and there's currently no mod for it.  Maybe I could do that myself.  A simple IF karma equals x THEN...
• I could elimate posts being displayed in every post.  Maybe replace it with "member since..."

Any thoughts?
