New positions!

OMG RBCP finally made some NEW positions on the fourms!

I still don't get what  "minion" is, but I can only assume its not good. It also kind of sounds like the word onion.

how about something cool like "King of Cactus" insead?

Anyway I noticed that there were about at least 7 new ones, but half are from between 1 post and 100...

but atleast its an improvment, and maby all posts about "Ranks" could go here aswell.

This morning I deleted all the rankings, having just a blank ranking to take people out of Newb status after 10 posts.  This was to eliminate BS posts just to increase ranking.  Then I decided to just add them all back in but add tons more just to confuse the hell out of everyone.  So there are now 20 different rankings.  You jump from one ranking to the other every 10 posts, but currently it only goes up to 190.  I would list all the rankings here but that would take all the fun out of it.  If you go around reading threads, though, you'll eventually see them all.  Every rank has at least a few members in it.

I just hope this doesn't make the pointless posting problem worse.  Seems like it would take away any goals of reaching a certain status/title, since it would only last for 10 posts anyway.  Or something like that. 

Right now PLA Minion is the highest at 190.  Suggest new titles and I'll probably add them.

Junion Murd0c at 200, Junior RBCP at 250 King of Cactus at 300! ect.
atleast something for us freaks with no lives that have been on the fourms since the week it opened!

If you want to see all the ratings, (and how you rank) fo to the fourms, and at the top- hit member list. If you arrange by post # or position, you will be able to "find them easy"

There should definately be groupie or tag-along status symbols for asshats like myself.


Also, if it wouldn't cause a huge stream of people doing stupid shit to gain status, we could have titles for people like the next z09, the PLA Token Compulsive Liar.

Posts really shouldn't be counted at all. Thats what attracts all the spam and useless posts around here. It seems like alot of people have nothing to say, so they just insult or praise one another to raise their counts instead of thinking of anything relevant to say.

That's why I've made the dozens of new positions.  There's no way for a user to really work their way up to a new position anymore, because it'll just change after every 10 posts.  I was just going to eliminate post-based positions completely, but I'm hoping this will solve the problem instead.  Once I get around to it, I plan to remove the post count from the posts.  It'll still display in a person's profile, just not on every single post.

I think it would work better to make just one position.
