OMG HAX! Sign Hacker Struck Again

Apparently the highway department never bothered to change the factory default password, "12345".

GREENVILLE, Del. - Delaware highway officials say a portable road-message sign was hacked to read "Live nudes ahead" instead of advising motorists about a coming road closure near Greenville.

Department of Transportation spokeswoman Sandy Roumillat says the computerized sign is password-protected, but the contractor that owns the sign was using a password that was easy for his staff to remember, and apparently easy to guess. Roumillat says the password will be reset.

The message on the sign was discovered early Friday.

You think they'd start learning to change the default password for those things from 12345 to anything else in the world. But on the zombie side of things, it's a dream. We want the zombies. I'd love for a zombie infested world! Shotguns and all sorts of fantasies! I COULD DRIVE A MONSTER TRUCK!

Another one, this time Kentucky. As Markov said, the pranksters need to be more original. If I had the chance to change a sign, it would read,

"Honk if your gay"
"Speed trap ahead"
"House for sale" List the number of the highway dept. or whoever owns the sign.
"Error Code 23: Reboot Sign"
"7-11 safe combo 17-36-52

The gag was hardly original. There was a spate of such pranks in 2009 in Florida, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Illinois and Texas. Last March, someone posted a zombie warning on a highway sign in South Carolina.
