I do this all the time with Skype and a USB phone bridge.

How is the voice quality? I have heard that with add onunits like the Skype bridge or Sipura for regular VOIP that the sound level drops.

I am still using the www.voicestick.com bridge and it has been great except for on afternoon when they had some sort of issue.

I have probably saved $450 in the last 3 months.

My experience with sipura's has been that you can get much higher quality audio than normal POTS with certain codecs. I have never used Skype, but I can tell you that it all depends on your bandwidth and codec being used. The only reasons that come to mind for quality loss when having more units, is that either your pipe can't handle the amount of connections, or your QoS is misconfigured.

wow this is really cool, you could set-up call forwarding on a cell phone to call a skype in number, then using VOX for skype you can make a conference call with who ever you want to call

(btw this is about linears article no the loop hole)
