Photo Album

I just upgraded the phonelosers.org photo album to Coppermine which seems to integrate nicely with the forums.  If you're logged in here and you visit the album, you should be logged on there too.  I think you should be able to upload photos there.  Go try it out!

I've got the Coppermine pictures randomly displaying on the top of the page now.  If you want your own pictures in the mix, create a folder for yourself and start uploading.

I can tell everyone loves the photo albums by the way you're all bombarding this thread with responses!  Just to avoid any confusion - the left side displays only the most recently added picture.  The right side displays a random picture chosen from all the albums.  I took the user avatar off the top of the page because do you really need to see your avatar all the time?

Any ideas on what else I could do with the photos?  I'm wondering if I could possibly display all the photos in your gallery on your user profiles.  Or maybe display a 100x100 picture on each message in the shoutbox?  I need more ideas.

We can also manage some sort of contest with different prizes like:

"Hax pix of da month"
"PLA babyface"
"best vacations pic 1994"

And so on, I'd need to think about the categories, lamentably I'm not good at it.

You can comment on pictures and rank them.  Don't you see an option for that?  I noticed that nobody's commented yet.  But with the test account I created, I was able to rank and comment on a picture.  Does everyone else see this?

Yeah, I know.  I can't find the option to increase the amount of space everyone gets.  I'll figure that out later today.  I'll probably need to keep it around 2 megs, though, so I don't go over my monthly quota.
