Celebrity calls

Has anybody ever tried social engineering to get a celebritiy's phone number? It can't be too hard to atleast figure out the town/city the celeb lives in, and once you have that, the video store trick would probably work almost effortless.
Just a thought...

Have you listened to episode 6?  It is hard because most celebs sign up for accounts and things under public voicemail numbers and PO boxes (heck I do that and I am not a famous).  I got Jim Carrey's phone number from ZabaSearch.com about a year ago.  I told him about it and the next day it isn't there.  If you want it e-mail me.

To get celeb numbers, you read up on their bio to figure out who their parents are and where they live.  Then you track down the parents phone number.  Once you have that, you call up their local phone company and pretend to be the parents.  Find out what kind of calls they make to famous people places like LA and NYC.  Most likely you'll find direct numbers to the celeb.

If you really want it call up two of the Quiznos in Berkley and ask for Mike.  Then ask if he's gotten any prank calls in the last few months.  When he says yes ask if the person was stupid enough to unblock his caller id, when he says yes tell him you want to make that person's life a living hell and ask for the number.  He will be more than happy to give it you.  (Thats if he still has it after so many months).

It's spelled "Berkeley", and if you want the exact address of the Quiznos, PM me.

... sometimes the parents even run book or autograph services for their little soubrette, and it's easier.  I got Crispin Glover's cell this way a couple years ago.  What, mayors aren't big enough anymore z09?

This reminds me of the crown jewel in Blackout's box... Christian Slater. http://www.blackout.com/blackout/audio/slater.m3u

My compulsion is to only prey upon the stupid + elderly... although Tom Cruise would be a great target.

What are you talking about?

And Tom Cruise would be a good target, I'm working for Reba McEntyer for an easy first target.  I have her brother's phone number and I am planning on calling Southwestern Bell to see what calls to California he has made.

I can't remember z, mayor or somebody out there important...

Of course with celebs you can just be their lawyer, agent or doctor + break the privacy act.  But I would never do something like that.
