I don't know, it should work. Though the graphics are pretty old and low end. It might not be powerful enough to run compiz, not very smoothly anyway.

What release of ubuntu do you have installed?

Also, in your terminal type this: compiz --version

Do any of the other effects work, like wobbly windows?

I don't know. Seems like it should work. Didja try sacrificing an effigy of Bill Gates to appease the almighty Tux?

Doesn't matter. I killed the real Bill Gates. Was outside his house, blutto boxed it while he was on the phone. Took a good clean chunk of the side of his face off when the phone detonated. Problem is that the Microsoft corporation is a self sustaining creature; able to eat its own flesh to grow stronger.

I tried heftily to destroy the making of Vista. I did my best but failed. Windows 7 is coming out and with luck I can kill this creature. This battle will be my last. Pray for me.

Also burn a copy of XP that you illegally downloaded and set it on fire in squre outline of chalk. This fixes a lot of my Linux issues.

Didn't want to start another thread for this.

In windows there's a feature that allows you to add an address bar into the taskbar. I've dug through Synaptic trying to find something similar since it's not in the menu when you right click on the taksbar but it doesn't seem to be anywhere. I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 with gnome.

You mean there was a feature to add an address bar to the taskbar. Microsoft seems to have remove the ability to do that in recent releases. I can't find anything for doing it Ubuntu either, other than an applet to search through your email contacts. I imagine, if a person was inclined to do so, an applet could be written to provide what you're looking for.
