Motorola PR400
« on: February 03, 2007, 08:31:31 PM »
I just started training today at a gas station/convenience store pumping gas. Not that hard of a job other then figuring out the pump and register buttons.
Everybody has a hand-held radio with a headset, so I took note of the model
It is a Motorola PR400, and I believe it is the 16 channel version. Is there anything that can be done with this thing? And how difficult would it be and what would you need to get into the frequency and channel if you don't have one? Theres no drive through or anything and only employees can hear/talk on it, so it wouldn't be nearly as fun as things that get the customers involved as well, but I was just curious.
Aaaaaaayyyyyyyyy!

Can you steal one from work?  And why to gas station employees need radios?  Is the place really that big?

If you could steal one I would.... the thing with motorola radios is that the frequencies are not easy to change. you need to find the software to do it, unfortunatly most motorola guys don't like to let other people know that they have the software. They start yelling about being authorized to have the software, and weather or not you have registered software.

But if you can get it, you could totally ahve fun with it.

do you know if it the VHF or UHF model?

You could have soem fun with either one!
