The local police department called me today.  They asked me to call them back, so I did, and got a VMB.  What are my rights when I'm being questioned?

I know what voice mail box is it just didn't seem to fit into the context of what yo were talking about.
Why do you assume you're being questioned? What exactly did the Police ask you about?

Well, I left a message for the officer as she was on the other line when I called.  I did not receive a call back because she went off duty at 3:30 this afternoon.  I assume a police officer would be calling to ask me questions about something.  I haven't committed any crimes, and I think I know what the deal might be for her call.  I was just curious what my rights are if I do get questioned or asked to report to the police station.

EDIT:  The reason she MAY have called could be one of many.  Recently, I had a falling out with a girl who I had a brief relationship with, and she may be trying to exact revenge.  It could also be the fact that I have another ex girlfriend that has a rap sheet.  It could also be something totally unrelated to either.  All I know is cops piss me off, and I don't appreciate being called by them and not being told the reason for the call.

Screw You!  I didn't rape either of them.  The one with the record is a psycho stalker who follows me around, and the recent one is a dumb girl who's only 19 and has a drama queen attitude about her.

You don't have to answer anything till they get a subpeona. If they get one of those this is some serious shit. Get a lawyer. Skip three turns.

Sorry Raptor, I was asking for the PLA's help in the matter, not suggesting that we help the PLA.  An extra word and a well-placed comma would have dispelled that confusion.

On the other hand, do you really want the cops spilling all your personal business onto a machine that other people may listen to?  They would have told you more if you'd answered the phone.  Drop the I HATE COPS attitude and just talk to them.  It's probably nothing.  And if it is something, you probably did something wrong.
