Dear mrpeanut,

It probably wouldn't help very much, plus you'd run the risk of having her break up with you or become infertile.

I recommend she instead go on depo-provera.  It is a 3-month birth control shot that usually either really reduces or eliminates girlfriends "going on the rag."  Plus, you end up with all those birth control benefits!  And her boobs will probably get a little bigger.  And her face will likely clear up.  It's a win-win situation, and no violence involved.

Thanks for your question!
Love,
jammie

PS - Please don't ever use the word "alot" ever again.  It is TWO words.  "Alot" does NOT exist in the English language.  There is no better lesson I could ever give you.  It is such a pet peeve of mine I've vowed never to date a guy that misuses those words.

Isn't that the one that makes women get fat? Or is that the thing they implant inside the woman somewhere? There's another form (I don't remember the name) that sits inside her v-jay but I wouldn't suggest it if you like sex very much seeing as how you're going to get jabbed in the wee-wee while it's in her whoo-whoo.

That's called an IUD (Inter-Uterine Device, IIRC) and as far as I know, it's considered obsolete and not used anymore.  I wouldn't trust it anyway.  No one was sure exactly why it worked.

I feel like I'm in health class again. It irritates the uterine walls so the eggs can't implant in the walls. I think I saw a commercial for one of these the other day.

Yikes.  Depo-provera is not an IUD and is not implanted anywhere.  There ARE some types of birth control that are inserted or implanted by a doctor and can last up to 5 years.  Depo-provera is simply a shot that one must take every 3 months.  It's like birth control pills that last 3 months instead of 1 and pretty much eliminates your period once your body adjusts to it.

As for weight gain, the one girl I knew on it was already really fat so I didn't notice any weight gain on her... but it is not completely uncommon for the body to gain a few pounds while it is adjusting to a change of hormones.  I've never heard of any significant weight gain though.

I think (with the weight gain) you guys are thinking of Norplant. That's the one that lasts 5 years and can cause wild ass mood swings and all sorts of fun hormonal imbalances, which will also lead to appetite change. The birth-control regulators in Indonesia ran wild with this because it's relatively cheap and incredibly effective at not only providing birth control, but possibly sterilizing women all together.
