This doesn't work for all switches serviced by Verizon (I don't think it works on DC0 switches) but if you dial the npa-exchange of the switch-9901 you'll get a recording identifying the switch, where it is, what exchanges it's serving, etc. The Elvis one posted on this forum is probably the most famous example. I'll post interesting ones as I find them.
