Gizmodo PSA contest

Gizmodo.com, which is my favorite blog that I read pretty much 24/7, is having this contest where readers submit their own 80's/90's style PSA-style/anti-drug-style commercials.  If I win, I get a kickass $1,100 video camera!  Here are all the entries so far:

Most of them are shit.  But there are a few that are really good.  I'm not sure if mine belongs in the shit category or the good category.  Anyone think I have a chance at winning?  The contest ends this Thursday. 

Why should you care?  Cause I will likely put this camera to evil use for PLAish things!  I haven't had a reliable video camera for several years now.  I sold my old DV camera on Ebay a few months ago because it was mostly broken and useless.

By the way, don't watch the one with the fat lady and the man in the purple shirt.  It's long and horrible.

Nah, I don't use that phone.  It's just one of my giant collection.  Thanks though!

There was an old-school gold and brown redbox in there too.  Probably hard to see with the terrible lighting.

maybe if ye dont win we could have some kind of fund raiser for one.  like "raise money to get brad a new camera!" It would be like investing you were a real fan of pla if you think about it.  I down 100% for it.  we could make it so your donation increment size gets you a cool gift like on public tv.   I once saw a donation marathon that offered a shitty dvd for a $50 donation!!  And your dvd kicks their dvd's ass.  PLA TV would r0x out with a better camera

I hate to just beg for money though.  I'd rather people buy tons of PLA merchandise so I'm actually giving something back for the money.  I plan to buy a video camera one of these days myself, no matter what.  A $200 DV camera is all I need.  That HD camera in the contest is way more than I need.  I sure hope I win it, though!

If Gizmodo decides to ask readers to vote, I'll definitely beg everyone here to go vote for me.
