You know, altalp, if you attend the DEFCON convention in Las Vegas - they have a lock picking competition as well as a dedicated area at the con for demonstration, learning, and applying.  Might be a nice hands-on for you with other people with the same interest; working with various locking mechanisms.

Has anybody experimented with picking combination locks?  I found a guide on youtube awhile back, it seemed easy enough.

You have to bruteforce those. Start with 1r, 1l, 1r. Then 1r, 1l, 2r, etc..
