Free CNAM lookups!

I can\\\'t lookup any Cingular accounts for you guys, however I do have access to a huge CNAM database.  As you know this database is public, therefore just PM me a number and I can provide you a name.  It doesn\\\'t even have to be a Cingular number, any number will do!  I have a hookup to the database on my home computer, so the results will be instant!

And the best part is, I can\'t get fired over this!

How would that differ from the free PI tools that Brad already has links to on the main PLA site?

This will do a lookup on:

1.  Unlisted Phone numbers - none of his services do that
2.  Cell phone numbers - Sprint and Cingular

Actually, I do this already using back-spoofing and Asterisk.

That cost way to much money!  8 cents per lookup!

Go to got-name.com and sign up for an account.  They provide CNAM services to VoIP users, and the have an online lookup.  Its only 1.5 cents per lookup.

CNA stands for Customer's Name and Address and has nothing to do with caller ID or ANI.  CNAM is:

(Calling NAMe) An IN (Intelligent Network) service that displays the caller's name on the calling party's digital readout. This is similar to caller ID except that the calling party's name is displayed along with the calling number or instead of the calling number.
