After about a month shipping airmail from the next province over, I've finally got my hands on this excellent book, and it kicks ass already.

that book r0x man, way better than his second one. seriously though, i know i have said this to you guys like a 10**6 times, but if you havent watched Fletch the movie or read any of the books buy them, they are about a reported who does all that stuff your Art of Depeption book. - cheers

I thought I couldn't change the topic title itself but it appears I can. This book kicks intense amounts of ass, but I stopped after the first chapter because if I keep going I won't sleep tonight.

The first time this thread existed, ages ago, wasn't the Reception of "...Deception" a lot worse?

It's good for getting into the mindset of such problem solving. Otherwise it isn't that great. Written kind of poorly and endlessly repetitive. Sickeningly repetitive. I never finished it because I got the point after the first half.

Agreeing with Frog here, we've had this discussion on multiple occasions.

I would have rather liked a nice 1 hour film and a small pamphlet with the main drill-down points of SEing.

I agree, some of the examples are so cool they would make good segments in a movie anthology sorta thing.

It's good to remember that SEing is an art form, not too many books can instill that into it's readers. Especially from a book written by "other people", instead of the author....
