Infiltrating Schools PA system!!! Need Help

Ok so here's the deal, i've done a bunch of reasearch on PA's/SRS's and it has led me next to nowhere.

Basically what i am trying to do is to somehow get on to my schools Personal Anouncement system so that i can broadcast whatever i like... i figured it would make a pretty funny grad prank, im sure you'll agree

The only problem is that, well, im not exactly sure how to achieve this goal. I can tell you that my school has two kinds of PA systems that i beleive are linked, they have the phone intercom system where you can page another phone, and they have a ceiling speaker system. When someone is paged it comes through the phone system and the ceiling speaker system. This is what i wish to infiltrate (or phreak i guess), and from there on play some sort of sound file that loops (all throughout the day, My own mediocre attempt at humor has been highly amusing to myself.).

I usally don't help little kids find candy buy,The first thing to do is to find the UTvault that say "DATACOMM" open that up (after hours of course) and see some of the wiring it may have some RJ-45 wiring in it or something I CLEARLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, EVER., but i have opened up, rewired,destroyed and raiped all my former schools  wiring.

i have an idea how u could do it

find one of the phones that is somewhere where no one usually sees it or right next to somewhere u can hid it

it should have a intercom button on it just set up the phone to your cd player or whatever your gonna play then just casually walk away and they wont be able to find the phone thats broadcasting it

i use to play on my moms work intercom at night but that was a while ago so if anyone see anything wrong with this plan feel free to degrade my self esteem My own mediocre attempt at humor has been highly amusing to myself. just kidding go ahead ill be watching

I saw this on that MTV high school pranks show. First find out the buttons for the intercom. Then buy a phone line splicer, a wireless phone and a cd player. Then sneak into an office with a phone line so you can hide the cordless phone base under a desk, then take the phone itself and use the intercom button to use the intercom anytime.

What are you going to listen to when your doing this? And you could just plug in the cordless phone base into an outlet.

Back to my post a UT vault is a short name for a utility vault a utility vault is baisicly just a big box in the ground the has wires and crap in it.  Rj-45 is  a type of phone wire that has 6 wires inside it. DATACOMM means "Data cominucations" in other words "The talking thingy lines" You would need to make a beige box (A wirless one the link here http://www.oldskoolphreak.com/tfiles/phreak/wibb.txt) and hook into the Red ang green wires on the RJ-45 cable (that is if it has RJ-45 cable)

I already have an idea of how I can accomplish this for my senior prank, even though I still have to get through my entire junior year. 

First, I will probably make my senior project topic have something to do with telecommunications so that I could ask the school to give me a lesson on how the phone system works as part of my research.  At this lesson, I would ask the phone system administrator how he prevents PA system abuse and would make comments to make it sound like I do not approve of such pranks.  Then I would ask them to show me how the system can be programmed from a phone.  The hardest part of the prank would be watching carefully enough at this point while the phone admin dials the system administrator code so that I can write it down.

With my school's phone system administrator code in hand, I would then go online and find the programming manual for our school's system, an Iwatsu ADIX.  Since system programming can only be done from a phone with a display and the only phones in our school that have a display are the secretary and adminisrator phones, I would buy one of the same kind of phone on ebay and plug it in in a classroom after school one day where I will be able to do my dirty work without getting caught by school officials.  Since I have the code and the programming manual, I could set up the phone as a new extension on the system and then use it to re-program the system.  First, I would remove the dialing restriction that blocks classroom phones from dialing the extension for the PA.  If possible, I would also make the PA extension accessible by calling the school from outside and dialing the extension number when the auto-attendant answers.  After that, I would change the actual extension number so that only me and the other seniors doing the prank could use it and the administration would be locked out of the PA.  Finally I would change the system admin code so they could not undo this programming until after the prank is done.  The morning after making these programming changes, a few seniors along with myself would say various funny things over the PA for a good portion of the first period.  Since we would be spread out in several different classrooms and could make announcements from all of them, it would be hard for the school to stop us.

Messing with PA systems is about the only form of prank calling that really interests me, so you probably won't see this n00b talking about anything not related to PA systems on these boards.

This is way too complex and based on factors completely out of your control. I'm not even talking about the probability of people working the way you want them to, I'm talking about how you assume the universe is built to let you pull this off however your caprice leads you to try. You can't get any more than extremely surficial ideas before you really know how the school's pbx works, because your imagination doesn't play by the same rules that it does.

So you will plug some random phone into the wall, use that extension to add itself as a display-enabled station with an extension, and then use that to reprogram the system. Sounds good.

A helpful hint for your plan: you should sell the phone on ebay before you buy it so that you'll have the money to buy the phone on ebay.
