Why do people get so upset about things? How badly do you guys need to look better than each other?

RijilV, you can be an ass, but put :P faces after your post and everything is immediately lightened. Anarchy Angel, you could try ignoring mean-spiritedness because no one cares about internet reputations, and avoid taking on the whole of the forums with no force behind you. You can't win a wit battle as a noob because everyone is already completely biased towards the familiar guy, so trying is just a complete waste of time and energy.

Sheesh!

meh, this kind of thing pisses me off to a great extent.  If you're getting paid for something you should be able to do it - or at the very least learn quickly and efficiently how to.  Everyone would laugh at someone if they asked for people to go into work for them mopping floors, buts its A-OKAY when they're using free software - "Hey I know the people who wrote this did this for free, but I'm trying to make a buck off of it and I can''t seem to get what I need to work..."

Nearly all free software comes with a huge amount of free documentation, and when that doesn't cut it often times, as is the case with Asterisk, there is a company behind the free software in question that is more than happy to support the product.  In this case, where there is very good documentation and easy to use tools to provision the device along with a cocky sig file and the attitude the problem must be with the free software - it just makes my blood boil.  I truly believe these types of people are what destroy technology - what makes writing software not fun - what makes using computers undesirable.

After we explored all possible revenues of getting it done i thought posting would be good to start up conversation i didnt really care if it could be solved here or not i already moved on to other projects as for the sword fighting what can i say its fun, Rij is such an ass "from what i have seen on his other posts" i didnt care what he had to say. It seemed to me he wanted to go at it and im not one to turn down a play invite.

What nonsense. One way to "learn quickly and efficiently" is by looking and maybe even asking on the internet. And it worked, since you posted code and troubleshooting suggestions. That's positive reinforcement.

Why have you increased a behavior that makes your own blood boil?

I think the idea behind posting the answers was to prove how easy the answers were, or how easy they were to get to further prove his point.

Yeah it would have been great if those where the answers, but it wasnt and he just kept flappin his jaw, its sad really. I guess he coded asterisk and freepbx so he would know all there is to know, it must be true and no one can tell him other wise. Sounds a lot like a teenager or a poorly socially developed adult any way you look at it he is a ass hole and for no other reason then to make him self feel better. Maybe he was bullied as a child perhaps he should go into law enforcement.

Or maybe I'm just a fuckhead.

Yes, but at the cost of promoting something that "destroys technology", "makes using computers undesirable" and boils his blood. His point was only "you are stupid", which surely isn't worth such a high cost.

My internet experience is being ruined by all of this tomfoolery.

Why dont all of you go outside and shoot up a school with your friends instead of bothering me?

I'll give this post a 8.5. The dismount was a little shaky. Next time try "shoot up your school while doing herion before killing your parents" or something similar. Nice try though. I'll give you a leet point for that.
