Rogue went on a little bus trip this weekend, and got a couple of payfone numbers.

St. Louis Greyhound bus terminal:

i know all the Greyhound Station ones were COCOTs [well, not coin operated, you could only use calling cards or credit cars, but you know what i mean.] 

i am almost 100% sure that the truck stop ones were COCOTs too, but not quite.  they still took coins, though.

I say this because I've had this happen with several retail stores I've attempted to call after hour. I'm not really sure what that "screeching" is, but it's definitely not a fax, and I've only had it happen on standard phone lines (as opposed to POTs lines)

I was in the Space Needle today and got the pay phone numbers that are at the top.  They accept incoming calls and the ringers are pretty loud.  Here are the numbers.

i got a Bell pay phone outside a sketchy Church's Chicken [at Delmar and Skinker, for anyone who knows St. Louis...]:
