DS Modifications!

Id like to show you what Ethermine and I did to our Nintendoo DS's last night:

He bought a full body case which was clear green and we installed it onto a pink DS, and I took some parts from the pink DS and added them to my white DS, here's pics:
Here is the bottom of the DS opened up

here I am holding the L and R buttons on while clamping the case over the body

Heres what the top looks like clear Green

Heres the inside once I was done

Here is the Bottom of the DS (look at the pen!) xD

here it is on and fully functional again


Here's what I did to mine, I added some of the pink pieces:

It was quite an amusing experience.  taking the DS apart was a lot like a cellphone, there was a gold ribbon between the top and bottom pieces for data that rolled up and the buttons and all were just like a phone.  It was quite hard at first because of the video we watched of someone else taking the DS apart was hilarious and uninformative.

It kept the night cheerful cos of his accent we couldn't figure out what nationality he was, and well.. it was just funny.  But it helped a lot! x)

Nice!  You should sell them on Ebay like that.  I bet people would pay more for the odd colors.

I've actually watched that video before and the video is pretty funny, but annoying.  I had to turn down the sound and just watch him take it apart.  He reminds me a little of this guy.

I showed that to ethermine last night and there were tears coming out of our eyes from laughing.  He actually soldered the wire to the fourth pin. OMFG.

Your need for uber leet h4ck0r1ng has led you to over complicate this. All you had to do was open it up, http://www.mtncolors.com/, and then let it dry before putting it all back together. Of course it wouldn't have gotten the clear effect, but still simpler. You did do it really well though. It looks pretty sweet, the clear reminds of a brown zune in some ways, except not shitty.

ALTERNATE METHOD FOR CUSTOMIZATION.
Step 1 CUT A HOLE IN THE DS
Step 2 PUT YOUR JUNK IN THAT DS
Step 3 MAKE HER OPEN THAT DS

i got the old ds and all of the other gameboys all except for the micro and ds lite.my sisters got a pink one but i wont steal that cause i dont want to look like a fairy.i have so many old gameboys what should i do with them?i 1 time counted 7 gb colors between me and my brother and ive had so many of the other ones that i got them stolen at school but i dont care.one time i traded 1 of my gb sp's for a pack of powdered donuts and 3$(not joking)

Seriously, though, good work with the customizations. Since I play concerts every Wed, I don't have any permenant changes, but I'll always put different low-adhesive decals and charcoal drawings on the front panel of my DS.

ew, that's cool! I want to get a black one now, and put black parts on it too.  or maybe just mod one so its black and white, that would look sooooo krad.
