Verzion Wireless Op Question
« on: July 03, 2006, 11:02:32 AM »
Hey, this is a long shot, but has anyone here ever had any luck social engineering a free call from a cell with no service?

I recently got an old Nokia from a yard sale for a dollar, and asking the Verzion Op if their computer is running is getting a little old. (The just hang up when I tell them to go catch it)

Call 911 (it's pretty much the only number you can call), ask to be transfered to the police, then ask them to make an anonymous call, then they will either make it for you (local only), or they will transfer you to the operator (local only).

I dunno, like I said, I can get the wireless operator no problem, so I've been working on them, but with no luck.
Besides, in my area dialing 911 reaches a large county-wide dispatch office.

Can you still get a roaming operator?  I used to get roaming operators and they'd place calls for me with credit card or calling card numbers for $3.00/minute.  This was back in the mid 90's, though.  Not sure if they still have the roaming operators.

Nope, the operator just keeps on asking for my account information.

Nope, the operator just keeps on asking for my account information.

Then give her your "friends" account info.

Yeah, they still have roaming operators. You reach them by dialing a phone number on a disabled payphone. I think the biggestprovider of roaming services is American Roaming Network or some such company.
