That was great.  I wish they'd said which Wal-Mart it was.  I'd love to call that lady and ask her how she felt once she found out it was a prank.

At our Wal-Mart the keyboards are wireless  :-\. Supposedly they're making a new Wal-Mart here, supposed to be the largest in the world. :)

Wasn't there a prank similar to this one, where some guy got a Motel 6 employee to cut his keyboard wires for the same reason?

i heard one where a guy called walmart and got them to open the box of some video games and read him the serial keys. He told them the games were pirated and to throw them out.

That would be a great idea for software stores, but stores like Best Buy won't work, because they're to smart.

s1acker got a geeksquad rep to believe that he had a virus on his Gibson 6000, then i got one to tell me that i could have gotten a computer virus from a wall socket. I think that they're trained to agree with whatever you say and then convince you that you need a new computer.

I called a convenience store once and got the guy to unplug his credit card machine and set it on the counter behind him, to protect it from an airborne computer virus.  I never considered anyone would be stupid enough to cut wires, though.

"The electricity popped out of it."

I while ago, a heard a clip of somebody doing this to a hotel. Does anybody have a link to that?
